EBC, part of NouvLR General Partnership, has finalized the contract agreement for the Engineering, Procurement and Construction of the Réseau express métropolitain project

MONTREAL: April 12, 2018 – EBC is pleased to announce that NouvLR General Partnership – a consortium composed of EBC inc., SNC-Lavalin Major Projects Inc., Dragados Canada, Inc., Groupe Aecon Québec Ltée et Pomerleau Inc., in collaboration with the NouvLR design team, made up of a consortium composed of SNC-Lavalin Inc. and AECOM, and other sub-consultants – has reached close on the Réseau express métropolitain project.

NouvLR General Partnership finalized today an agreement with CDPQ Infra for the Engineering, Procurement and Construction of the Réseau express métropolitiain On April 12, 2018 NouvLR entered into a fixed price contract worth approximately five billion dollars ($5B).

The Réseau express métropolitain is an electric and fully automated light rail transit network designed to facilitate mobility across the Greater Montreal Region. Spanning 67 kilometers of double track and boasting 26 stations,the network will link the South Shore, North Shore, West Island, downtown Montreal, and the Pierre-Elliot Trudeau Airport, and connect with existing bus networks, commuter trains and with the Montréal metro Blue, Green and Orange lines. Stations will be accessible by foot, bike, car or taxi and integrate universal mobility options, connect to bus terminals and park and ride lots, and will offer passengers a variety of travel options between home and the station.
