Thanks to the expertise, skill and commitment of its formidable team, EBC can announce that it has placed again among the prestigious Best Managed program award winners, standing alongside the country’s elite companies.

The construction company has successfully retained the award since being named for the first time in 2015. It has earned the Gold Standard which is given to companies that have held Best Managed status for four to six consecutive years. The program, in its 26th year, is the country’s leading business awards program. It recognizes Canadian-owned and managed companies for innovative, world-class business practices, as well as their strategy, skill and commitment towards sustainable growth.

EBC President and CEO Marie-Claude Houle is delighted with this distinction. ”We can be proud of the road traveled and foresee more growth in the years ahead,” she said. “We are enthusiastic about participating in great landmark projects that build the future for our communities. Undertaking a project is a privilege. The challenges are many, but our teams share our passion and build our success on shared values of respect, integrity and a job well done.”

Founded in 1968, EBC is a growing company in the building, civil engineering and mining sectors. Among the largest construction companies in the country, EBC has 2,200 employees and 8 offices across Canada. Over more than 50 years, EBC has completed 700 projects totaling more than $15 billion while adhering to the most stringent standards of safety, human values and customer satisfaction.

2019 winners of the Canada’s Best Managed Companies award will be honoured at the annual gala in Toronto on April 17, 2019.
