ADM – Expansion of the baggage area and East terminal

New mandates

By Sandra Micaelo 16 August 2019

With the Montréal-Trudeau Airport having experienced strong growth in recent years, the capacity of passenger processes and the handling of international and domestic baggage is at full capacity.

To meet this increased traffic while waiting for the construction of the first phases of the terminal building’s expansion, the ADM launched a call for tenders for the selection of a Construction Manager mandated to assist in the realization of the luggage area and East Terminal expansion project.

We are pleased to announce this important mandate, the 3rd at the Montréal Airport in less than a year for the Building Division. The project is located in a regulated airport zone, involving complex organization and phasing of the project.

The project includes, among others, an expansion of 5,000 m2; buildings construction; additional commercial spaces – restaurants and businesses; spaces for two VIP lounges; the construction of storage spaces; redevelopment of airlines offices; the addition of 2 aircraft boarding gates; civil work on the adjacent deck and the management and installation of a new baggage handling system inside the new terminal.

The work, which will begin this fall, will run until April 2022.
