It is on these foundations that were instilled by its founder’s vision that we have built a solid business over the past fifty years to become one of the country’s top construction companies. Our success lies on the skills and expertise of 2,300 employees who share these values and who strive to deliver major projects exceeding our customers’ expectations.

EBC has constantly sought new challenges since 1968. Today we are turning toward a new promising future, with a new modern identity that pays homage to our enviable past. We can be proud of the road traveled and we foresee further growth in the years to come. Now, as then, the challenges are plentiful and our teams are ready to conquer new Canadian markets.

    Graduated in civil engineering and holding a master’s degree in business administration, Marie-Claude Houle has been President and CEO of EBC since 1999.

    Known for her team spirit, compassion, and commitment, Marie-Claude is deeply involved in the industry, serving on numerous boards of directors, and actively engaged in the community by supporting various social causes.

    Guided by strong human values, she has successfully led her company to become a Canadian leader in construction project delivery, while ensuring a responsible and sustainable approach to building the future.

    Executive Vice-President – Finance and Administration

    A lawyer and member of the Barreau du Québec, Martin Houle has been managing EBC’s finances and administration since 2011. He heads the accounting, finance, legal affairs, IT, and garage departments.

    As Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice-President, Ghyslain Deschamps plays a key role within the company. A leader and high-level strategist, he oversees all operations for both our Building, Civil & Mining Groups; from project development, to bids, to project execution, and delivery.

His project management experience, combined with his expertise in new market development will allow him to lead the Building Group’s Canadian expansion with vision and efficiency, while positioning the company as a major industry stakeholder.
