From January 17 to 19, was held the annual assembly of the Québec road builders and heavy construction association (QRBHCA), one of the largest gatherings of the industry in Québec. It was during this convention that the members of this association elected Marie-Claude Houle, as chairman of the board, becoming the first woman in 74 years, to occupy this position within the association.

President and CEO of EBC, Ms. Houle, who has always been professionally and personally implicated in various social and community causes, sees this as an opportunity to apply her vast experience and improve the industry in which she has been involved for over 30 years.

It was also during this event that the Fernand-Houle award was presented to Mr. Jim Hewitt, former President and Chief Executive Officer of Hewitt Group. This distinction, established last year, is awarded to highlight an impressive career in the field of civil engineering and roadworks, in tribute to Mr. Fernand Houle, founder of EBC and father of Ms. Houle, who himself was president of the QRBHCA in 1984.

The entire EBC team is delighted by this outstanding nomination and congratulates its President for her commitment, determination and exemplary leadership.
